Here are some gentle morning wellness tips to get your energy flowing and circulating and to give you a positive start to the day. 

 

  • Hydration - Drinking lemon water in the mornings cleanses the gut and promotes good digestion, detox and flushes out toxin build ups in the body. 

  • Stretching - Spending 5 - 10 minutes to stretch after waking up will loosen up any tension in the muscles and joints from the night before. Start by having a stretch in the bed and then gradually and gently stand up and have a good stretch.

  • Breathing Techniques - Applying breathing practices into your routine is great because it stimulates circulation and the flow of oxygen to the organs. It also helps to ease anxiety, tension and lowers our cortisol stress levels.

  • Meditation of Gratitude - A prayer meditation in the morning to focus on gratitude is a really good way of reminding yourself to say thank you for you and all the important people in your life.

  • Exercise - This can be a gentle 20 minutes walk in the morning, it can be a light cardio workout at the gym or at home. It doesn't have to be intense, just moving the body 30 minutes each day can help lower stress levels and increases our energy levels. Choose a time to suit you and your lifestyle.
